Get into golf Ladies & Juniors at Isle of Skye Golf Club

Isle of Skye Golf Club is recognising 60 years of golf this year at the Sconser venue, to mark the occasion on this Anniversary year, children have free membership on application. Simply email us via the Contact Us link on our webpage and we shall reply. (www.isleofskyegolfclub.co.uk)

Children of all ages are offered the opportunity to try golf with various dates available for free coaching throughout the Summer months.

The Club offers children the opportunity to meet up with Skye's own Ryan MacAskill, Professional golfer, now based at the prestigious Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

Ryan has very kindly offered to host Junior sessions on the following dates

June 1st June 29th & August 3rd & August 31st.

Sessions will be P1 – 3, P4 – 7, Senior School

This is an excellent opportunity to meet with Ryan, hear about his success story and gain some first hand coaching from a professional golfer. Ryan will also be on hand to answer any questions or provide information on Junior Golf

You can book a slot in each session by emailing us at Contact us (via our webpage ) with name, school year, dates to attend, (a child can attend on all dates if you prefer) and a contact number, we shall notify you of times for participation from 1pm onwards each day

Adult Coaching

Ryan will also be on hand over the 2 days to provide adult tuition, Adult coaching sessions should be arranged by contacting Ryan direct on

Ladies Golf - Get into Golf with Linzi Dye Assistant Pro at West Kilbride Golf Club

Hosted 14th & 15th June

The Club is delighted to have Linzi Dye from West Kilbride with us who will be running 'LoveGolf' sessions on each of the two days aimed at Lady beginners

Afternoon sessions are set side for individual women members with an opportunity to meet and hear first hand Linzi's experience of Women's Golf and for advice or to answer any questions in general or receive coaching.

There are no special requirements, equipments or clothing, for the Lov.Golf sessions, this is an opportunity for women of all ages to socialise and enjoy the opportunity to try golf simply email your interest

North V South Anniversary Event 60 years

COMANN GOILF AN EILEIN SGITHEANAICH

AN CEANN a-TUATH V AN CEANN a-DEAS

On the 8th June the club intends to host an inaugural competition North Skye verses South Skye, defined by Members residing in the North of the Island verses counterparts living in the South and Lochalsh area or indeed historic locations. The competition will be stableford format with individual scores added to total a team score. There will also be a prize for the overall best individual score. The Trophy is appropriately named by club member Mr Murdo Beaton. There will also be Mr Alan Cowie attending, Alan is part of the Scottish Golf North Exec Committee.
A good attendance is requested and as Members (and exiles) can you please sign up well ahead of the event and by Thursday 6th June to allow a selection process for the 2 teams. The match is open to ALL members and those who may have moved away, a handicap will be allocated to anyone that would like to play but doesn't hold an official handicap. The Club welcomes ALL members and friends to participate
